The Bear on KCRW Berlin (2019-2020)

“Your front-row seat to an evening of great storytelling.”

This was a collaboration with The Bear Storytelling, a non-profit storytelling event started by Dyane Neiman. Each month, I attended the live events, where storytellers get on stage to tell tales centered around a certain theme. And then each month, I would host and produce a 30-minute to hour-long program highlighting some of my favorite stories from the evening.

I’ve highlighted a few episodes below. You can also find the full archive wherever you get your podcasts.

Saying goodbye with some all-time favorite stories

This episode aired on KCRW Berlin on Nov. 28, 2020.

This month’s episode was the last before KCRW Berlin went off air on Dec. 13, 2020. In celebration of more than a dozen episodes over the past year-and-a-half, I invited The Bear’s founder, Dyane Neiman, to talk about what inspired her to start this monthly storytelling event and how much it’s grown since its launch in 2015.
