Speaker. Translator. Producer.
I’ve been working as a freelancer with the Documentaries department at Germany’s international broadcaster, Deutsche Welle, since December 2020. As a speaker, I narrate features and voiceover sound bites. As a writer, I translate and adapt documentary scripts from German into English. As a producer, I edit texts, prepare scripts for a team of voiceover artists and coordinate with sound engineers and video editors to make a broadcast-ready feature.

Speaking Samples
I narrated “The Power of Gentle Touch,” a documentary that examines the importance and benefits of gentle touch.
I narrated the DW original production, “Notes from Caracas – Venezuelans in the Midst of the U.S. Intervention.” The US attacks on Venezuela are told from the perspective of the filmmaker.
I narrated “Poisoned Land? The Rural Rise of Parkinson’s,” a film exploring the link between the use of pesticides and farmers, gardeners and other agricultural workers developing Parkinson’s Disease.
I voiced reports in this episode of “SHIFT: Living in the Digital Age” on how streaming platforms are changing the film industry.
Writing Samples
“ABOVE AND BEYOND: The Global Rise of Afro House” traces the story and roots of Afro House, showcasing the thriving scenes in Berlin, New York, Johannesburg, and beyond. I translated the German interviews in this film. Directed by Naomi Phillips, this documentary premiered in Berlin in September 2021 and has been featured in several international film festivals.

Above are a few of the documentaries I’ve produced in English, meaning I’ve edited the translated scripts, directed a team of speakers in voicing the narration and sound bites, and coordinated with a sound engineer and video editor to assemble all the elements.
